An Israeli airstrike killed 15-year-old Mohammad Abdul Zinati in Gaza City on 15 September, witnesses told the Guardian. They said he had gone to check on the body of a man hit by an Israeli bomb moments earlier. That initial strike also wounded Palestinian civil defence paramedic Sharif Shadi Labad, whom the Israeli military said was targeted because he was a Hamas militant.
