> Russia will hold its first parliamentary election since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine this weekend. The country’s system is often described as “managed democracy,” with the Kremlin controlling the process. United Russia is expected to dominate the 450-seat lower house, whose MPs are expected to remain strongly loyal to Vladimir Putin.
