The North-South Corridor will open two years later than planned, with phased openings now scheduled from 2029. The Admiralty–Lentor viaduct is expected to open from 2029, followed by the Lentor–East Coast tunnel from 2031. Authorities attributed the delay to complex engineering work and difficult ground conditions; the project’s additional cost and who will pay it will be settled after completion.
