World‘No accountability’ in Israel over Gaza’s destruction, says Alon Pinkas

Former Israeli ambassador and consul general in New York Alon Pinkas told Al Jazeera that, from an Israeli perspective, there appears to be “no accountability” for Gaza’s destruction. He said Israelis rarely see images of the devastation, as though it were happening “light years away”, and that none of the promised ceasefire terms—including unrestricted aid, an Israeli withdrawal from 65–70 percent of Gaza it controls, and Hamas disarmament—has materialised.
