Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy attended the unveiling of his official portrait at the U.S. Capitol in a ceremony hosted by current Speaker Mike Johnson. McCarthy served as the 55th speaker from January to October 2023 before Johnson succeeded him, and was the first speaker in history to be removed from office.
