WorldNepal floods: Former MP loses 40 family members in Rasuwa disaster

Nepal is still assessing the destruction from last month’s flash floods, which swept away towns and villages near the border with China’s autonomous region of Tibet. At least 1,350 people are confirmed dead and 5,000 more are missing, presumed buried in mud. Former MP Dawa Finjo survived in worst-hit Rasuwa because he was away at a funeral, but lost his son and 39 other relatives.
