SocietySingapore youths favour safeguards over social media ban

Nearly 80% of young people surveyed by YouthTechSG oppose a social media ban, despite broad concerns about addiction, cyberbullying and harmful content. More than 70% say they would bypass age checks. Singapore is preparing legislation to strengthen protections for young users by early 2027.
