TechMPs and peers urge new law to tackle AI threat to human rights

A cross-party group of UK MPs and peers says artificial intelligence poses human-rights risks that current laws are poorly equipped to address. The Joint Committee on Human Rights has called for a new AI bill, with chair Alex Sobel saying no country, including the UK, yet has a legislative and regulatory approach fit for purpose.
