PoliticsAlberta Now: New federal political party modeled after Bloc Québécois in the works

A proposed federal party devoted solely to Alberta is being formed, with former MLA Drew Barnes among its founders. Alberta Now would field candidates only in the province’s 37 federal ridings and draw inspiration from the Bloc Québécois. Political scientist Lori Williams says it could divide Alberta’s vote and potentially help the Liberals in future elections.
