WorldBRICS urges restraint in Mideast conflict but avoids Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese President Xi Jinping and other world leaders are gathered in New Delhi for the BRICS summit. In a joint statement, the group’s 11 members, including India, Brazil and Iran, called for “maximum restraint” as the conflict in the Middle East widens, while avoiding mention of Ukraine.
