> US President Donald Trump is visiting Ireland on Saturday for meetings with the prime minister and president at state residences in Dublin’s Phoenix Park, followed by a trip to his golf resort in Doonbeg. The visit coincides with the Irish Open and is expected to keep him away from planned protests in the capital. Polls indicate most Irish people oppose the trip, while deep economic ties with the US have not prevented Trump’s tariffs from hurting independent businesses.
