WorldFighting displaces thousands in Sudan as RSF expands control near Ethiopian border

Thousands have reached Damazin in Sudan’s Blue Nile region after the Rapid Support Forces and allied groups seized the Kurmuk and Geissan localities. The UN says more than 23,000 people have fled the two areas since August 11. The rainy season is worsening conditions at displacement sites, leaving many families short of shelter, food and drinking water.
