EconomyNasdaq Invests $100 Million in Kraken Parent Payward

Nasdaq Ventures has invested $100 million in Payward, the parent of crypto exchange Kraken. Payward Chief Commercial Officer Mark Greenberg says the deal could support permissioned on-chain versions of Nasdaq equities, cooperation on market surveillance and data, and expansion of xStocks. Kraken is also moving toward a multi-asset model and has outlined a 2027 IPO timeline.
