PoliticsPritam Singh sets out WP’s position on political salaries

Workers’ Party chief Pritam Singh said the party supports three broad principles affirmed by a review committee: pay should be competitive enough to attract suitably qualified people, political service is a calling with its own ethos, and remuneration should be transparent. He said WP still disagrees with the formula for ministerial salaries and urged the government to include mayors in an upcoming review.
