WorldGuterres rings the Peace Bell for the last time as UN secretary-general

A yearly Peace Bell observance was held at the UN’s New York headquarters on Sept. 8, where Antonio Guterres rang the bell for the final time during his tenure as secretary-general. The General Assembly created the International Day of Peace in 1981; it is marked every Sept. 21 under this year’s theme, “Invest in Peace — for Every Person, in Every Place, Every Day.”
