Brent crude rose above $100 a barrel for the first time since July as fighting between the US and Iran and a recovery in Chinese oil purchases lifted prices. US Central Command said American forces destroyed five Iranian crude tankers after an attempted ballistic-missile attack on a US Navy warship. The escalation has disrupted some flows through the Strait of Hormuz.
