WorldAirlines race to clear backlog as Indonesia airports reopen after volcanic ash clears

Flights have resumed at several major Indonesian airports after a volcanic eruption grounded nearly 3,000 flights for days and disrupted travel for more than 340,000 people. Airlines are now working to move stranded passengers and resolve cancelled flights, while up to 10 alternative airports will help absorb disrupted rotations through shuttle and rail links.
