CultureFrance, South Korea pledge €1 billion to support cinema amid AI threat

France and South Korea have pledged €1 billion to protect the cinema industry from threats including artificial intelligence, at a summit on its future held in southern France. Hollywood star George Clooney and executives from Sony Pictures, Disney and other US studios were among about 200 attendees.
