> Political office holders’ salary changes would cost about S$5 million more each year if the maximum 9 per cent increase were applied to all, while including MPs would raise the annual cost to about S$6.6 million, Coordinating Minister for Public Services Chan Chun Sing told Parliament. He said the difficult issue must be addressed so capable Singaporeans are not discouraged from serving.
