WorldThousands attend funeral of convicted war criminal Ratko Mladic

Thousands attended the funeral of Ratko Mladic, who died in late August while serving a life sentence in The Hague for crimes against humanity and genocide. He oversaw the massacre of more than 8,000 Bosniak men and boys in Srebrenica during the breakup of Yugoslavia. Serbia initially promised a full state funeral but partly reversed that decision after international condemnation.
