> The Alternative for Germany has scored a historic victory in Saxony-Anhalt. Preliminary results put the far-right party at nearly 44% of Sunday’s vote, bringing it within reach of state power for the first time since World War II, but short of an outright majority and potentially requiring coalition partners.
