> Exit polls show the Alternative for Germany (AfD) winning elections in Saxony-Anhalt, eastern Germany. The result would make it the first far-right party to take power at state level since World War II. The party sees the vote as a step toward its larger goal of winning national power in the 2029 federal elections.
