The U.S. is threatening to move away from Canadian energy after reaching a new deal for majority control of Venezuela’s oil reserves. Energy Minister Tim Hodgson says Canada is continuing to diversify its buyers and Ottawa will not “sacrifice our critical industries” to secure a trade agreement with Washington.
