A dense mat of vegetation forming a floating island has captivated attention at British Columbia’s Williston Reservoir. The roughly 70-metre-wide, 140-metre-long “floating forest” was first seen near Finlay Bay in July, then repeatedly vanished and resurfaced elsewhere on the water.
