EconomyUnifor opens contract talks with Stellantis, vows to defend Canadian auto industry

Unifor, which represents nearly 19,000 Canadian auto workers, opened contract talks with Stellantis on Tuesday in the final round of bargaining with Detroit’s Big Three. Donald Trump has threatened to raise tariffs on all Canadian vehicles, auto parts and steel to 50% starting Jan. 1.
