Politics‘What an embarrassment’: Eby derides Hegseth’s controversial post about B.C. cadets

B.C. Premier David Eby called a controversial social media post by U.S. Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth an “embarrassment,” saying it attacked cadets who volunteered to serve selflessly in a military that has been a U.S. ally for generations. Hegseth reposted an image from the Vernon, B.C., cadet training centre showing two young women in uniform beside a Canadian flag with the caption “this is real.”
