An accountant’s warning that a flood was approaching prompted headmaster Rajendra Dawadi to evacuate 900 students and about 16 staff from Tribhuvan Trishuli Secondary School in Bidur. Fourteen minutes later, a wall of water swept through the town and destroyed the school.
