> Donald Trump threatened to strike Iran “hard” after the two sides exchanged fire for the first time in more than a month. Iran’s president warned that further fighting with the US would not serve his country’s interests. Six months into the war, the rivals remain deadlocked, with Iran keeping the Strait of Hormuz closed and the US maintaining a naval counter-blockade.
