WorldKhamenei’s call for Gulf unity rings hollow, analyst says

Washington Times senior writer Tim Constantine says Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s appeal for Gulf countries to unite against the “enemies of Islam” sounds hollow. He points to Iran’s recent strikes on a Qatari gas refinery, a UAE hotel and an Omani cargo facility, as well as economic pressure on the UAE, and says reopening the Strait of Hormuz would be the simplest gesture of good faith.
