WorldNepal-Tibet flood death toll exceeds 700

At least 734 people have died and more than 2,400 are missing in Nepal after Wednesday’s flash floods, which were triggered by a glacier collapse, local officials say. Chinese state media puts Tibet’s toll at 16 dead and 546 missing. Nearly 20,000 security personnel are involved in rescue efforts, while the UN says difficult terrain and rain are making aid delivery “extremely difficult”.
