WorldRescuers reach Nepal-China flood zone as children’s crisis worsens

Chinese rescuers reached Jirong, the area hardest hit by glacial flooding, after trekking through the mountains for two days because the roads were destroyed. About 2,000 personnel are working on mountain routes, river access and road repairs. A barrier lake upstream that briefly overflowed is also being closely monitored.
