> Two lakes have formed on opposite sides of the Nepal-China border, with officials warning that the lake on the Tibetan side could still breach its banks. Chinese state media says rescuers have reached the mudslide’s epicentre, but about 1,000 people remain unaccounted for. Nepal’s death toll has risen to nearly 540, while China reports five deaths on its side.
