# Climate expert warns of growing glacier hazards

Floods triggered by a glacier collapse on Wednesday have killed at least 538 people in Nepal and five in Tibet. Climate specialist Arun Bhakta Shrestha warns that warming is destabilising the cryosphere and increasing the risk of glacier collapses and other floods.
