A World Bank Group body that handles disputes between governments and foreign investors has opened its first overseas office in Singapore. Law Minister Edwin Tong said the move demonstrates Singapore’s commitment to the international rule of law as such disputes become more numerous and complex in the region and trade ties grow more contested.
