WorldLIVE: Typhoon Saudel approaches Okinawa

Medium-strength Typhoon Saudel is moving toward southern Japan and northern Taiwan, with heavy rain expected. Japan’s weather agency warned of destructive gusts, extremely strong winds and high seas as it neared Okinawa’s southwestern islands. Taiwan reported one death and four people missing from a separate weather system in the south and east.
