TechCanadian-made drone tackles icy terrain

Landing a drone in the Arctic is difficult because of ice, wind and steep terrain. The University of Sherbrooke’s “Ice Dart,” developed by engineering and robotics researcher Issac Tunney, uses cat-like claws to grip slippery surfaces and successfully landed on crevasse-riddled icebergs during tests in Iceland.
