EconomyUS Weekly Jobless Claims Edge Lower to 206,000

US applications for unemployment benefits fell by 6,000 to 206,000 in the week ended Aug. 15, Labor Department data showed. Claims remained near historic lows, pointing to limited layoffs across the labor market.
