> Sources say Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and U.S. President Donald Trump spoke by phone Tuesday about ongoing negotiations, just hours before the latest U.S. tariffs were due to take effect. Reports suggest the two sides remain apart on what Canada wants and what the United States is offering, leaving a deal uncertain.
