> Counting in Zambia’s general election was halted on Friday and resumed several hours later after the electoral commission said the security threat had been contained. Observer missions responded, with SADC mission head Samuel Tembenu saying his team could not monitor counting and result collation during the pause and urging all sides to stay calm.
