Francisco Blanch, head of commodities and derivatives research at BofA Securities, says China has become highly adept at managing energy consumption and is now a “swing buyer” of oil. He warns that low US inventories could push gasoline and diesel prices higher, while oil prices may fall in 2027 if conditions normalize in the Strait of Hormuz.
