US core consumer prices rose 0.2% in July from a month earlier, signaling subdued underlying inflation and potentially easing pressure on the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates. Anthropic is also in talks to acquire AI startup Decart AI for about $6 billion, according to people familiar with the matter. Decart develops so-called world models designed to simulate reality.
