PoliticsTrump: Karoline Leavitt leaving as White House press secretary, becoming ‘top outside adviser’

President Donald Trump said White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt will leave her position at the end of August. He described her as one of his most trusted aides and said she would become a “top outside adviser.” Her departure removes one of Trump’s closest allies inside the White House. The move represents a major shakeup for the president’s press operation with less than three months remaining before the midterm elections.
