PoliticsICE plans to spend up to $20 million on electric-shock gloves

Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and officers could soon receive gloves capable of delivering electrical shocks. The manufacturer says the devices are designed to de-escalate encounters with people. A Department of Homeland Security notice published Monday says ICE expects to spend an estimated $10 million to $20 million on the CTG 5 G.L.O.V.E. The name stands for Generated Low Output Voltage Emitter.
