WorldSherman says Iran may control Strait of Hormuz ‘forever’

Wendy Sherman, a former US deputy secretary of state, warns that Iran could control the Strait of Hormuz for the foreseeable future, or even forever. She argues that additional economic pressure from President Donald Trump is unlikely to force Iran’s leadership to give in. Sherman also addresses a forthcoming summit between Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping. Her remarks include Russia sanctions legislation passed by the Senate that is awaiting action in the House.
