TechBritish driver sets new land speed record for hydrogen-powered car

British engineering firm JCB and driver Andy Green have established a new world land speed record for a hydrogen-powered vehicle. Their JCB Hydromax reached 406.320mph. The run took place 20 years after Green drove JCB’s Dieselmax to an FIA-certified diesel land speed record of 350.092mph. Green also holds the outright land speed record of 763.035mph, set in 1997, when he became the first and remains the only person to break the sound barrier on land.
