ScienceLIVE: Solar eclipse seen from Iceland and Spain

A total solar eclipse is visible across western Iceland, drawing crowds to Seltjarnarnes near Reykjavik. The path of totality also crosses northern Spain, spanning roughly 290 to 300 kilometers in width. Millions of people in Spain and Iceland prepared for the rare astronomical event by carrying protective glasses and traveling to places where the eclipse could be viewed in full.
