ScienceEurope awaits its first total solar eclipse since 1999
Parts of Europe are set to experience daytime darkness on Wednesday as the Moon moves across the Sun and briefly blocks its light. The total-eclipse path starts at the tip of Siberia, curves around the Arctic Ocean, and crosses Greenland and Iceland. It then travels over the northern Atlantic before reaching northern Spain and ending in the Mediterranean. Elsewhere in Europe, observers will see only a partial eclipse.
