The only private hospital in Johor Bahru that accepts MediSave says its Singapore patient numbers have doubled since the pandemic. Women make up 90 per cent of those patients, with most seeking maternity care. Another hospital in Malacca is the only other facility currently participating in the overseas MediSave scheme. Cross-border treatment could make healthcare cheaper, but an expert warns that other factors may raise total costs.
