> Taiwan is holding its largest Han Kuang exercise to date to assess the results of recent combat-oriented training. For the first time, authorities slowed mobile networks across broad areas for 30 minutes during the drill, simulating communications disruption after a Chinese attack or a natural disaster. In Taichung, the exercise was combined with an air-raid drill, prompting residents to leave the streets and evacuate. Basic mobile calls remained available, while ATMs, traffic signals, landlines and fixed internet were not affected.
