WorldTrump demands compensation from Iran, claims US control of Strait of Hormuz

US President Donald Trump says he is seeking compensation from Iran for people he claims were killed by the country. Iran has refused to reopen the Strait of Hormuz unless Washington accepts conditions that include payment for war damage. Trump also insists that the United States has full control of the waterway, saying the US Navy has cleared all Iranian sea mines. He describes the blockade as a “steel wall” and says Washington decides who may enter or leave.
